  1. Very interesting. Not going to lie, was shocked to see neither Ancient Evils nor Dark Cult were used in Hemlock Vale, as well as just how few core sets Edge of the Earth used.

Also, am I the only one who finds it funny that the 3 encounter sets that have shown up in every campaign thus far are Chilling Cold, Striking Fear, and Locked Doors? Learning that felt like hearing that the biggest companies in the world were Apple, Amazon, and your neighbor’s bike shop. No offense to your neighbor, but you’d expect something with a bit more “Oomph” to take the Number Three spot.

  2. Why did you specify “Midnight Masks Treacheries” in TFA? “Threads of Fate” also include some locations from that set. (Same true for TCU with “Devourer Below”.) I know, the references in the encounter set articles are the same, but these specify, that they are just meant to showcase, which cards are in the encounter deck, not the scenario, because encounter deck composition is what your essays are all about. To add more use to this list it might be beneficial as a “packing reference”, when you want to take a single campaign with you onto vacation. But for this, you would need to catch the locations as well, leaving them at home would be a bummer.

    1. Fair point. I know that Drowned City uses other parts of that set as well (but i am not aware of the exact details, still waiting for the box myself). I have removed the “Treacheries” specification everywhere for now. I also added Devourer Below to the TCU list. It’s not really what i think of when i mean encounter sets, but sure i see the value if you’d want to use this as a reference for what things to pack over a weekend or something.
Maybe i will go back and specify which parts are actually needed. But if that were to happen, that’d be after i played TDC.
